From May 5th to 9th, 2025, the Rector of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University of Cabo Verde participated in the 2nd African Forum on Research and Innovation (FARI 2025), held in Cotonou, Benin, serving as a member of the Scientific Council and the event's jury.
Cabo Verde was represented by two national startups, whose participation stood out for their innovation and quality, despite not being among the final award winners. Of the 24 finalist startups, three were ultimately selected as winners.
FARI 2025 concluded with a set of recommendations addressed to ECOWAS and its Member States, which will be shared with the academic and scientific community in due course.
The next African Forum on Research and Innovation is scheduled to take place in two years in Ghana, reaffirming the continent’s commitment to science, technology, and innovation as key pillars for sustainable development.
